Introducing our seed laden, all rye sourdough bread:
Made of steel cut rye berries, whole rye flour, oat bran and three different types of seeds this Old World rye belongs to the pumpernickel style variety of breads. It's dense, flavorful and packed with natural fiber.

It has a rich, grainy texture with an ever so slight tang and makes a wonderful hearty base for any style of topping. Try cheese, avocado, cucumber, tomatoes, cold cuts or any combination thereof and you wont be disappointed.

It comes uncut in 16 once/one pound loaves. We recommend slicing it with a serrated knife. One loaf should give you 10 to 12 slices.

Storage: Keep it in its plastic bag.
Under normal weather conditions it keeps 4 to 6 days on the countertop, about 10 to 14 days in your fridge and up to a year in your freezer.
If you decide to freeze it we recommend to slice it first and then take it out by the slice.

The Gold Rush Pretzel

Since we bake at the epicenter of the second Gold Rush we thought it would be fitting to commemorate the first one by adding some of its famous gold dust to a time honored German pretzel recipe. Thus, the Gold Rush Pretzel was born. We bake it on special order only.


For the more mundane occasion we offer German Brewery Pretzels. Traditionally topped with coarse sea salt they are crunchy on the outside with a fluffy, doughy interior.
